Nail Crazies Unite: Neon

Neon is this week's challenge theme. I don't really like neon colors, and I don't own any true neon polishes anymore, so I had to go with my most vivid polish instead.

As base color I used Essence Va-Va-Voom, a coral creme that dries to a semi-matte finish. Using the DRK-B stamping plate and MoYou London White Night, I created this hibiscus flowers aloha-shirt-like pattern. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On  Top finished this mani.

Lacke in Farbe und bunt - weiss

Lacke in Farbe und bunt is a weekly nail polish challenge by Lenas Sofa and Das Jahreszeitenhaus. Each week they have a new color scheme, and this week's color is white.

My white polish is The Polish Well Roses And Blood, a milky white jelly with small pink glitters and glass fleck shimmer. I used three coats for this still somewhat translucent look.

For the stamping I used L'Oréal Chrome Shine 347 and Bundle Monster plate BM-XL206 (in collaboration with Nailstamp4fun). One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

It seems like sadly The Polish Well polishes are no longer available.

Born Pretty Store Pineapple Cuticle Oil

As the post title already shows, I don't have a new mani today, but a review of the Born Pretty Store Pinapple Cuticle Oil. Thank you Born Pretty Store for offering me this item!

The cuticle oil pen comes in a cute black cardboard box. The pen itself has a very shiny silver packaging and a brush about 5mm wide. The oil is slightly pink and smells pretty strong, but very nice. I wouldn't regocnize the scent as pineapple if I didn't know it, it smells very sweet, candy-like.If you turn the back of the pen, the oil is pumped into the brush, where you can apply it on your cuticles.

I've been using it for about three weeks now on a daily basis. I always use cuticle oil before going to bed, so I didn't have very dry cuticles to start, and I couldn't tell a difference to the other cutile oils I've used before, so the oil does what it's supposed to do. The pen contains 2ml of the oil, but I can't tell you the ingredients, they are listed neither on the Born Pretty Store homepage nor on the packaging. Fot the price, I'd say it contains mineral oils. If you've got very sensitive skin, you might react to the strong fragrance, though.

There are five different flavors to choose from, the pinapple I got plus peach, lavender, coconut or almond. You can get the pretty and very handy cutile oil pen here for 2.99$ (or the whole set of five fragrances for 10.99).

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Going On Holiday

Going on holiday is this week's challenge theme. I'm not much of a beach person, so going on holiday means skiing or city trips for me. With our current heatwave here in Switzerland, I really didn't feel like snowflakes on my nails, so a city trip mani it is ;-)

My base color is ILNP Clever Girl, a light blue/grey holo with a pretty prominent gold sheen. I used three coats plus one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

For the stamping I used Moyra stamping plate 01 Globetrotter and China Glaze Little Drummer Boy. Another coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished the mani.

Lacke in Farbe und bunt - marineblau

Lacke in Farbe und bunt is a weekly nail polish challenge by Lenas Sofa and Das Jahreszeitenhaus. Each week they have a new color scheme, and this week's color is navy blue.

My blue polish is Different Dimension Lapis Lazuli. It's not a true navy blue, I have to admit, but has teal undertones. The jelly base is quite sheer, my pictures show four coats. The polish is filled with multicolored flakies. I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for protection and extra shine.

Different Dimension polishes can be found at their own shop and at Hypnotic Polish.

Born Pretty Store Stamping Polish

Today I want to show you a Born Pretty Store stamping polish. Thank you Born Pretty Store for offering me this polish!

I started with three coats of Maybelline Gilded Emeralds. Gilded Emeralds is a dark olive green shimmer with some glass flakes in it, that dries to a matte finish. I usually love matte shimmers, but this one didn't really convince me with it's looks. I like it better shiny.

For the stamping I used Moyra stamping plate 03 Ornaments and the Born Pretty Store polish. I asked for the polish called Chocolate, but either they sent me another color (my bottle doesn't have a name tag), or Born Pretty Store has a really strange idea of chocolate. The polish is a pink nude, it would make a lovely lipstick color, but it doesn't look at all like chocolate. I added a comparison shot, so Born Pretty Store, if you read this post, you'll see that chocolate looks really different. The polish stamps nicely, but isn't the most opaque, so the stamping got more subtle than I intended. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top protected the stamping. If you likte this polish, you can get it here for 3.99$.

Nail Crazies Unite: Fruits

Fruits are this week's challenge theme.

I love summer fruits, especially berries, so I went with strawberries for this prompt. I used Essence Juicy Love, MoYou London Sweet Custard and Kiss The Frog, a dotting tool and a nail art brush. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished the mani.
