Born Pretty Store Stamping Polish

Born Pretty Store offered me some more products, and this is the first item I chose: a light blue stamping polish. Thank you so much, Born Pretty Store!

I started with three coats of Essie Loot The Booty (Viva Antigua Summer 2016 collection), a royal blue polish with intense aqua shimmer paticles that are sadly quite photo-shy on the nails (they are better visible in the bottle).

Then I used MoYou Holy Shapes Collection plate 04 and the light blue Born Pretty Store stamping polish. As you can see, it works perfectly even over darker shades. I'm very happy with my choice. The polish comes in a small square bottle with 6ml, but as you don't use much polish for stamping, it'll last ages. You can get the polish here for 2.39$, there are lots of other colors available.

For more nail art items, check out Born Pretty Store (use the code below for a 10% discount)

The stamping polish was offered for reviewing purposes. Again, thank you very much, Born Pretty Store!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Festivals / Hippie Travels

It's friday, and you know what that means: it's time for the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas Challenge! This week's theme is Festivals or Hippie Travels. My boyfriend thought this mani looked like an LDS trip, so I guess it fits ;-)

I just blotched my five Essie Silk Watercolor polishes over a white base (Essie Blanc) for a colorful base. The Silk Watercolor polishes are (from left to right on the bottle picture) Point Of Blue, No Shrinking Violet, Blush Stroke, Muse, Myself and Pen & Inky.

The stamping is made with MoYou Pro Collection XL plate 23 and P2 Eternal. As usual, I finished with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Lacke in Farbe und bunt - Hellblau

Lacke in Farbe und bunt is a weekly nail polish challenge by Lenas Sofa and Das Jahreszeitenhaus. Each week they have a new color scheme, and this week's color is light blue.

The polish I chose is KBShimmer Wind Swarm. Wind Swarm is a light baby blue jelly with hex, dot and square glitters in various colors, yellow, blue, red, white, plus golden holo microglitter. I used three coats for opacity and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

KBShimmer polishes are sold on their website (US only) and at Harlow & Co.

Taupe Armor Falling Down

Today I have another golden oldie to share with you, it's from the Pahlish Winter 2013 collection and it's called Armor Falling Down.

Armor Falling Down has a greenish-brown, almost olive base filled with small golden flakie glitters. I used three coats and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Then I added some roses using Kiko Mirror Lacquer 617 (Taupe) and Born Pretty Store stamping plate BPL-024. Another coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

Pahlish polishes are available on Bigcartel and at Overall Beauty.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Nude & Color

Another week has passed and it's time for the next 40 Great Nail Art Ideas mani. The color scheme is nude and color, and my personal pattern prompt is tape mani.

As base color I chose Pahlish Proud Titania, a sand colored nude holo. I used three coats for opacity.

Since I learned about nail vinyls I got too lazy to cut nail tape, so I used What's Up Nails straight vinyls for the tape pattern. The vinyls are slightly wider than nail tape, so the lines also got a little wider. The topper color is Takko Créateur, a olive green with intense golden shimmer. After removing the vinyls, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Takko Lacquers are available at their own shop (US only), Femme Fatale and Mei Mei's Signatures, where I got mine.

Lacke in Farbe und bunt - Kupfer

Lacke in Farbe und bunt is a weekly nail polish challenge by Lenas Sofa and Das Jahreszeitenhaus. Each week they have a new color scheme, and this week's color is copper.

As base I used three coats of Essence James' Favorite Brown (Soul Sista LE), a brownish copper shimmer.

Then I dabbed on one coat of Femme Fatale Midsummer Petals, a clear based glitter topper with copper and pink glitters in hex and circle form, some of them holographic. I added one gengerous coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for a smooth finish.

Femme Fatale polishes are available at their shop, Harlow & Co. , Norway Nails  and Color4Nails.
